Tayo is an astute professional and multi-dimensional administrator, who has contributed immensely to development of oil and gas business in Nigeria, particularly in the areas of contract, supply chain, innovations, project, change, community and financial managements.
Tayo started his career as a steel rolling mill design engineer. He later joined Shell International based in Nigeria where, over a period of 26years, held various senior positions and job assignments in Nigeria, Netherlands, France and South Korea. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ilorin, Ilorin and a Post Graduate Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership from Metropolitan School of Business and Management UK.
In his about 30years of work experience, Tayo acquired a wealth of experience in technical and commercial disciplines with major oil/gas companies such as Shell International, Saipem Nigeria, Daewoo Nigeria, Nigeria Gas Company, Nestoil PLC and Nigerian Petroleum Development Company. He successful completed various major oil/gas facilities and infrastructure projects of multibillion $ portfolio, ranging from engineering to major construction through to commissioning and operations. He has managed assiduously development concept studies for brown and green fields, economics and corporate business planning, divestment of fields/assets and facilities optimization, including life-extension for brown field.
Tayo is a cheerful service oriented person who spends his spare time with family, doing humanitarian service with Rotary International, a Paul Harris Fellow, a Major Donor and a Knight of St. Christopher. He is also a community leader and holds the chieftaincy title of Otunba Baba Alaje of Ogijoland. He is also an educationist and the founder of Omotayo College (www.omotayocollege.com ).
